About Websites & Templates

Most servers outgrow a Discord channel and a pinned message. A website gives players a stable place for rules, news, a player-facing status page, a store and an account system, and gives you analytics on who visits.

Content management systems built for game servers connect to the game through a plugin or API so the site knows who players are. Choose one that matches how much you want to self-host: a self-hosted system gives you control and the maintenance that comes with it, while a hosted service handles uptime for a fee.

Whatever you choose, think through payments and personal data before you launch a store. You are responsible for what the site collects, so read the software's documentation on data storage and update it as security fixes ship.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own web hosting? Self-hosted software does: a web host or a server that can run PHP or the software's stack. Hosted services run it for you.

Each page lists three clearly separated parts: Featured Resources (paid placements), Trending Now (recent engagement) and Resources (approved by review, newest first). Approval means a resource met MCRank’s listing requirements; it is not an endorsement.

MCRank is Minecraft resource search and discovery. Featured placement is its paid visibility layer: owners of approved resources bid weekly to appear first, labeled Featured, on the page their resource belongs to. Payment buys placement, not guaranteed clicks, traffic or sales, and never an MCRank endorsement.

Paid Featured placement is not available at the moment.
