Content Policy

Last updated 15 October 2026

MCRank links people to resources on other sites, so every resource is reviewed first. These are the rules reviewers apply.

01

What can be submitted

Legitimate Minecraft resources the submitter owns or is authorised to list: plugins, server setups, Discord bots, builds, maps, resource packs, tools and similar, each with a destination page that is the real place it is offered.

02

What cannot

  • Anything malicious or deceptive: malware, phishing, credential or token theft, hidden payloads, misleading downloads, impersonation of another creator or service.
  • Resources you do not own or are not authorised to list, including leaked, cracked or stolen files.
  • Material that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.
  • Illegal content, and content that harasses, threatens or demeans people.
  • False or invented claims: fake ratings, reviews, sales figures, endorsements or affiliations.
  • Link shorteners, redirectors and destinations that are not the page where the resource is offered.
  • Attempts to manipulate MCRank: duplicate submissions, fake engagement, evading review.

03

How review works

Reviewers check the details and the destination. MCRank does not require proof of ownership of the destination: a resource is reviewed on its details and its destination, whether a creator submitted it or MCRank listed it itself. Reports and takedown requests are how a wrongly listed resource is removed. Automated checks help but do not prove a resource is safe, and approval does not either.

A resource can be rejected, suspended or archived, and a Featured placement stopped, if it breaks these rules or a valid report shows a problem. Decisions are recorded, and a rejected submission is told why where possible.

04

Reporting

Anyone with an account can report a resource from its page. Reports are reviewed by a person and do not change anything automatically.
