About Spawn Builds

A spawn build is the first area a new player sees: the hub where they arrive, get their bearings and choose where to go. A prebuilt spawn saves days of building, but it still has to fit your world, your server software and your rules.

Most spawns are delivered as a schematic file (commonly a .schem file that WorldEdit and similar tools can paste), plus instructions for anything that is not a block, such as NPC placement, signs, warps and menu setup.

What to look for in a spawn build Format and version: confirm the file format your tools can paste, and that the build was made for your Minecraft version, since blocks and materials change between versions.

What is included: check whether NPCs, plugin configuration and resource-pack requirements are part of it or left for you to set up.

Size and performance: large builds with many entities or light sources can cost performance. Look at how big it is and how it is meant to be pasted.

Customisation and licence: find out whether you may edit it, rebrand it, and use it on more than one server.

Preview: look for screenshots or a demo world of the finished result.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to install a spawn build? Usually a tool that can paste schematics, such as WorldEdit, and permission to run it on your server. The creator's instructions should list any other plugins the build depends on.

Can I change a spawn build after I import it? Once pasted it is ordinary blocks in your world, so you can edit it. Whether you may redistribute or resell modified versions depends on the creator's licence.

Does MCRank recommend a particular build? No. MCRank is a Minecraft resource search and discovery site. Featured is paid visibility and is always labeled, Trending Now reflects recent engagement, and approval only means a resource passed MCRank's listing requirements. None of them is an MCRank recommendation.

MCRank is Minecraft resource search and discovery. Featured placement is its paid visibility layer: creators pay to appear first, labeled Featured, on the page their resource belongs to and in searches that resolve to it. Payment buys placement, not guaranteed clicks, traffic or sales, and never an MCRank endorsement. It is bought by the owner of an approved resource, from their account.

Paid Featured placement is not available at the moment.
